Where do you get the data? To generate qualified sales leads, USADATA works with many of the leading national compilers of consumer and business data. Which source we use depends on the nature of the client’s goal. Our data-neutral approach ensures our recommendations are 100% directed toward solving the client’s specific business objective.
I Selected Children’s Age Ranges, will I be reaching the children? No. Our database will output the name and address for and adult 18+ in the household when this category is used to build your list. If you select children’s age ranges, you are including only households in which a child of the age range(s) you have selected is present. Our database considers a child to be from the age of 0-17.
How can I sort my list by specific attributes I have chosen? Open your list in Excel format and point your cursor to the box between column A and Row 1 in the upper left-hand corner of the spreadsheet. Now all cells on the spreadsheet are highlighted. Next go to Data in the tool bar and choose Sort. You can now use the first drop down box to indicate which column you would like to sort your list under and click Ok.
Why did I get an email saying my order is on hold? If you are a new customer or if your order contains sensitive information such as children’s age ranges, your order will be put on temporary hold. To have your order released your order for processing, please respond to the prompts detailed in the email you received.
How do I select a geography? First, identify the geographic region that you would like to target. The following are the available geographic targets as well as some guidelines for selecting: RADIUS - Select this option if you want to target people who live within a certain distance of a specified address. You will have the option of entering the address and the distance (in miles). Note: This type of count lookup can take longer than the other options. STATE - Select this option if you want to target people from a particular state. (e.g., anyone who lives in the state of Hawaii). COUNTY - Select this option if you want to target people from a particular county within a certain state (e.g., anyone who lives in Norfolk County, MA). CITY - Select this option if you want to target people from a particular city. A city is defined as an aggregate of zip codes identifying an urban area (e.g., anyone who lives in Oakland, CA). ZIP CODE - Select this option if you want to target people who share a particular zip code (e.g., anyone with 74820 as their zip code). SCF - Select this option if you want to target people who share the same first three digits of their zip code.
How do I select the Demographics? After you define your geography, the next step is to identify the type of consumers you would like to contact. If you want to contact every mail-able record in the area you defined, select "All Records in Chosen Geography". If you want to use demographics to sharpen your target, select "Customize a List". You will also notice pre-defined QuickPicks to make ordering easier for you. QuickPicks are bundled selection options to connect you with popular segments more rapidly.
Should I add Phone Numbers to my list? Phones are generally available for 5%-8% of the records as they are pre-scrubbed for DNC compliance. Ordering phones really depends on your goal. Phone numbers are great if you have a sales or telemarketing staff equipped to make follow up calls. However, phone numbers will add additional cost per name to your list, and you'll need to plan for the activity. After-mail calls can be a very effective technique, but it does require both planning and resources. Example: if you have 10 outbound telesales reps, and they can make 50 calls per day, you can follow up a 10,000 card mailing in 4 weeks.
Once I get a count result, can I still make changes? Yes you can. Use the blue "Edit Selections" button(s) to edit the list specification criteria that you wish to change. You can do this to the geography and/or demographic select(s).
Can I order just a portion of the entire list? Yes. Simply enter your desired order quantity in the 'Qty Desired' box, and a list of this size will be randomly selected from the entire available count across all geographic areas.
What is the difference between single use versus multiple use? A one-time use of the list means you may only use the list one time. With unlimited use, you may use the list as many times as you want for one year. After one year, you may continue marketing to anyone who responded to your campaign or who became a client of yours. Those individuals however who never responded to your campaign you may no longer contact. In order to contact those individuals after one year, you would need to re-order the list. We recommend you do this anyway because over the course of the year, the list will change; names currently on your list may have moved, while others may have asked not to be contacted. Fresh leads will furthermore become available. To maximize the deliverability of your campaign, it's important that you use the freshest available list.
Once I get a count result, can I still make changes? Yes you can. Use the blue "Edit Selections" button(s) to edit the list specification criteria that you wish to change. You can do this to the geography and/or demographic select(s).
